What is in the Dahua package?
Our Dahua 5MP two-camera PoE security kit is an A$443 equipment package containing:
- Two DH-IPC-HDW2541EMP-AS-ANZ cameras.
- One DHI-NVR4104HS-P-4KS2/L network video recorder.
The camera model provides 5MP imaging and infrared illumination rated up to 30 metres. This infrared rating is not a promise that faces or number plates will be identifiable at that distance. How does PoE work?
Power over Ethernet carries power and video data through a compatible network cable between each camera and a PoE connection. These cameras use a wired connection rather than Wi-Fi.
Leave room for future cameras
The kit's four-channel recorder provides capacity for two additional compatible cameras. Expansion still needs a compatibility, bandwidth and PoE power-budget check. The official Dahua recorder information identifies the exact model; do not assume every camera or recorder with a similar name has identical capabilities.
Recording capacity varies with storage capacity, resolution, compression and recording settings. The number of camera channels does not specify how many days of footage can be retained.
