We selected the EZVIZ DL05 for this retrofit. It’s a solid, multi-functional smart lock that solves the reliability issues of the old unit. It offers three main ways to get in:

1. Fingerprint Scanner: No more fighting with a sticky keypad.
2. CPU Cards: Quick tap access for family members.
3. EZVIZ App: Remote management and real-time entry logs on your phone.

The Process: Clean Retrofit

Retrofitting means fitting new hardware into a door that already has existing holes and cutouts. We removed the old failing unit and installed the EZVIZ mortise body, ensuring that the new plates covered the previous marks and the latch aligned correctly with the strike plate for smooth operation.

The goal was a clean, functional setup that works every time you come home.

The Result
